Treatment
Book excerpts from Treatment - a personal chronicle of my experience with breast cancer and chemotherapy. In the beginning, my taking photos during treatment was a way for me to process what was happening and to provide a distraction from the realities at hand. After completion of my chemotherapy, I found myself saddled with an abundance of feelings I wasn’t expecting, most surprisingly anger and fear – anger that I had been suppressing since my diagnosis and fear that without the safety net of active chemotherapy, I was again vulnerable. Creating this book, facing and chronicling my experiences, has been an integral part of my healing. In sharing it, my hope is that it may provide insight to those with a loved one facing a similar path, and provide comfort to those driven to walk it as well - that they are not alone and there is light on the other side. Though each person’s path is different, we can all learn something from one another; may my experience help guide you on yours.
